PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your files stay
on your device.

Bivar’s first tools run locally in your browser. There is no file-upload endpoint, account system or cloud file store.

What happens when you open a file?

The browser gives a local Web Worker access to the file you selected. That worker parses the schedule in your browser’s memory. The page displays the result. We do not send your filename, file contents, activity names or project data to a server or an AI service.

Storage and exports

By default, files and tool state remain in this tab’s memory. Remember on this device is an explicit choice: it stores the current tool’s project, including its selected source files, in this browser’s IndexedDB database. Reloading then offers Restore saved project. We request persistent browser storage where available, but permission, storage space and eviction remain controlled by the browser. Private browsing, clearing site data or changing device/profile can remove access to saved work.

Turning Remember off or choosing Forget saved project removes this tool’s saved draft and stops its future autosaves. It does not delete exported files or drafts belonging to other tools. Closing an imported file clears the current in-memory file; a previously remembered draft is available until you turn remembering off or explicitly forget it. Use Save project to keep a portable .bivar file; Open project restores it without requiring the original files again. Files can contain confidential data: protect downloaded copies using your organization’s normal procedures. PDF, CSV and project exports are produced locally when requested. There is no cloud synchronization, server backup or secure-memory-erasure guarantee.

Normal website connections

Your browser requests the website’s HTML, styles and scripts from the host. The sample button also downloads our synthetic example file. A hosting provider can receive ordinary connection information such as an IP address and requested URL. That is different from receiving your schedule. This build has no third-party analytics, advertising scripts, remote fonts or telemetry.

Your environment still matters

Browser extensions, managed-device software, screenshots and downloaded exports are outside this application’s control. Use an environment approved for your project’s confidentiality requirements.

Current scope

This statement describes version 0.2.0. A future feature that sends files off-device must require explicit consent and an updated privacy explanation before release.
